Meditation Retreat in Rishikesh India is designed for training the mind. The Retreat offers different techniques that could help us experience Meditation. There are many techniques with so many different names in Sanskrit such as Antar Mounna, Ajapa Japa, Vipasyana, Chidakasha Dharana, Yoga Nidra, Prana Vidya, Pancha Dharana, Mantra Chanting etc. and in the modern time what we call as “Mindfulness” to work out the abilities of mind. We provide these methods which we can use as tools to attain what is already within us - relaxation, withdrawal, concentration and so on. During the retreat, an individual is expected to follow certain strict disciplines so that the experience of a subtler level can be had.
Meditation Retreat is organised for a certain technique which is termed such as - Antar Mouna Meditation Retreat, Prana-Vidya Meditation Retreat, Yoga Nidra Meditation Retreat and so on.

Hatha Yoga Asana - Different basic postures of Hatha Yoga such as such as preparatory movements of joints, muscles and parts of body, Standing, Supine, Prone – (backward, forward and spine twist), Inversion and Balance, specific Asana helpful for relaxation and meditation such as Shavasana, Sukhasana, Ardha Padmasana, Padmasana, Siddhasana, Siddha Yoni Asana, Swastikasana, Dhyana Veerasana, Vajrasana and Padadhirasana etc.
Pranayama - Udar Svashan, Vaksha Svashan, Griva Svashan, Yogic Svashan, Nadi Shodhana, Bhramari and Ujjayi with special method which helps towards meditation.
Mudra - Some basic gesture of fingers and body to affect energy in body such as - Jnana, China, Bhirava & Bhairavi etc.
Satkarma - Practices for purification of body in Yoga (Jala Neti).
Meditation - Fundamental practices of Yoga Nidra, Yogic breathing with awareness, Fundamental practices of developing awareness, Kaya asthairyam (stillness of body), Awareness of natural breath, Awareness of peace, Bhao aaropan (Awareness of feelings), Developing awareness with mantra such as AUM, Sharir darshan (Body awareness), Awareness of certain symbols, Chakra Awareness and Atmanubhav (Self-awareness).
Lecture on Some important topics – How to do different practices of Yoga, How to make program, Ethical guidelines, Yogic life style and Holistic approach of Yoga.
Karma Yoga - During the retreat individuals would be required those to participate into Karma Yoga. Depending upon the requirements we may involve you into this.
Meditation Retreat in Rishikesh India eligibility -
The participants should have some basic understanding of Yoga and meditation which makes the program easier to continue. However, even the beginners can join Meditation Retreat.
The participants should be able to practice discipline of Yoga such as purity, punctuality, early waking up, participation is the daily activities and so on.
The participants should have good command on English language as this is the medium of education.
The participants must have sound health physical as well as mental is a requirement however, if there is some health issue then this should be intimated to the school before registering for the retreat.
7 days (1 week) – The total duration for this retreat is 7 days however with the day of arrival this becomes 8 days.
The daily schedule for Meditation Retreat is tentative and subject to change according to need. All classes are held for 6 days in a week.
6.30am to 7am – Herbal Drink
7am to 8.30am – Hatha Yoga session (Asana, Pranayama, Dhyana)
8.30am to 9.30am – Breakfast
10am to 11am - Rest
11.15am to 12.15pm – Lecture on Pranayama and Dhyana
1pm to 2pm – Lunch
2pm to 3.30pm - Rest
3.45pm to 4.30pm - Personal cleaning and Karma Yoga
5pm to 6pm – Asana, pranayama, Dhyana
6.30pm to 7.30pm – Dinner
7.30 to 8.30pm – Kirtan, Chanting and video show etc. (optional session)
9pm – Bed time
Ved Bhoomi Residency is the best choice to stay at Tapovan, in the Yoga Capital of India, Rishikesh. The prime location, nice surrounding and natural view with easy access to the nearest local market and other daily facilities make them worth staying. Decent rooms, hot running water, needful air conditioning, and other modern amenities are also available on request. Yoga and Spiritual Practitioners are also frequently joining and enjoying our venue to attend regular and drop-in classes.
How to get there
The New Delhi International Airport (IGI) is located around 240 Kilometres from Rishikesh and the Jolly Grant Domestic Airport Dehradun is located around 20 Kilometres from Rishikesh. From both airports cab/car services are available to reach Rishikesh at our school. From Delhi, it's around 6 hours drive and from Dehradun, it's around 40 minutes drive. If you wish we may organize your journey to our school in Rishikesh at a reasonable fair.

Rohit Kumar was born in Bihar, India. When he was young, he had many questions about life.
Questions concerning an effective way to achieve balance, maintain peace and have some tangible experience of life.
Being exposed to Yoga and Meditation at a very young age. Rohit gravitated toward Tantra and Yoga. He studied Yoga and also pursued academic studies in college.
He began to see the amazing and profound benefits yoga has to offer as he was studying and practicing yoga.
He gained valuable insight into how to live life in harmony with nature. Inspired by the life yoga gave him, he could not help but share this wonderful knowledge. Filled with Love in his heart, he shares the knowledge from a place of sincerity and compassion.
He has visited several places to integrate the principles of Yoga and its practices. He received most of his teachings in the Southern part of India and in some Asian countries.
While traveling to many countries of the European Union, he experienced how yoga could be implemented into different lifestyles. He witnessed firsthand how yoga therapy could serve many people, no matter their nationality, background or age.
According to the professional standard of Yoga education, he is an ERYT 500 Hours. However, he has studied multiple subjects. Rohit holds a Master's degree in English and Literature. He also obtained a bachelor's degree in Law from an Indian University.
