This retreat is designed for you to take a deep dive into your heart, for those who are ready to let go and experience a soul level transformation.

Join our community as we accompany you on a week long journey through dynamic and restorative practices of yoga, dance, breath, meditation, ceremony and transformational therapies. You will experience three 1:1 therapies during the retreat to make the journey person to you; massage, energy healing and a tarot/astrology reading.

Every morning you will be guided by our Yoga teachers through a 90 minute led class. Practice and learn the philosophy and science of Yoga further than just the yoga asanas on the mat. Classes include Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Slow Flow, Meditation and Pranayama.

Our Samudra Shala consists of three spaces where we host sessions and therapies. The first floor is our Samudra Shop and Guest Library. The upper floor is our 1:1 Therapy Room and the lower floor holds our underground Healing Cave. Yoga, Ceremony, Workshops, Dance and more will be hosted here.

You will be well taken care of here at Samudra, with three private sessions that are personalised just for you. The retreat includes a Holistic Massage, an Energetic Healing and your own personal Astrology Session. These 1:1 sessions are integral to the retreat experience, as you will be individually supported and guided.

We open and close the retreat with Ceremony, a space for us all to gather and experience a co-created journey. Our closing ceremony will be around the fire, with Cacao and Sound Journey. Be bathed by shamanic sound under the stars and take this journey into your heart.

Program

You do not have to participate in all the activities, and resting as much as you need to is strongly advised!

There is no wrong or right way to be, simply just being you is how we are here at Samudra.

The retreat programme is designed with group and private sessions, which you may opt-in or out of depending on how you feel and your preferences.

Morning Yoga, Sharing Circles, Ceremony and Dance are all group sessions.

Private 1:1 sessions included are a 90 Minute Massage, 90 Minute's of Energy Healing and a 1-hour Astrology and Tarot Reading. These sessions will be spread out over our afternoons, with the full schedule to be announced on the first day of the retreat.

Your afternoons are for your free time to go to the beach, relax or explore the island outside of your scheduled therapy sessions.

This is a diverse programme with many different activities all run by our community of teachers and therapists.

You can choose to have further 1:1 therapies or classes with any of our teachers and facilitators on request during or after the retreat.

Please note that our schedule changes according to the season.

I am here as your guide and friend during your time at Samudra. My love language is creating a safe and nurturing environment, for one to rest and feel comfortable in. Authenticity, raw and honest truth are my living guidelines. I am all about living a slow paced life, taking the time to cook fresh homemade meals, space for reflection and integration and lots of adventures in nature. Instructor

Mila’s early life as an actress led her to explore the human body and its capacity through movement in theatre, where she spent 30 years as artistic director and teacher of the arts. This journey led her to realise that we are more than just a physical body, and this is how, why and when she came across and then fell in love with Yoga.

For over 25 years Mila has been immersing herself in holistic health, self healing and eastern philosophy, and studying the vast lineages of ancient spiritual wisdom. She has studied and practiced Tai Chi, Reiki, Ashtanga Yoga, Lucid Dreaming, Tarot, Astrology, and is a qualified Vegan and Vegetarian Nutritionist.

Mila left the world of theatre to dedicate her time to spreading the light on Yoga. Holding a wealth of knowledge.

Mila wishes for everyone to discover the healing that occurs when we unite our minds with our hearts​. To find the clear path where there is no hesitation but only truth.

Jade landed on the island 8 years ago after spending her earlier life working as a carer in her home land Australia, and in England for over 10 years. With her vast experience living as a carer for over a decade, Jade provides a warm and supportive presence as your host here at Samudra.

Jade will be bringing you inspiration, play and exploration through Dance. Jade has been dancing for a decade, finding that dance is a perfect tool in which one can release emotions through movement, in a comfortable space, and having loads of fun.

For over 15 years Jade has been practicing and studying the art of Tarot, connecting to divination and mysticism. Her intuitive nature has guided her on a path of being close to magic, and now Jade is sharing her passion here on retreats.

Jade wishes for everyone to feel completely comfortable in their own rhythm of life, and to celebrate their unique way of being.

Location

Samudra is located in the middle of the Mediterranean sea on the island of Gozo in the village of Qala.

Gozo, which means 'joy', is a little spit of land sitting in the Mediterranean Sea with a unique rocky coastal landscape, waters so crystal-clear and the sky so bright blue that you’ll have to rub your eyes to believe what you are seeing.

Our retreats are held in our farmhouses and a Shala, that sits on the corner of the island of Gozo in the village Qala. All of the houses have swimming pools and all of our bedrooms have air conditioning.

The houses and Shala are all very close to each other, on a quiet road surrounded by nature.

At the end of the road, you can walk directly down to the nearest beach, Hondoq Bay and you will find many walking trails taking you through the fields of wildflowers and farmland.

Across the road from each other, your stay in our sanctuary is offered in a choice of our rustic 400+ year old farmhouses in the lazy south-coast village of il-Qala.

With options of sea views, ensuite bathrooms and private balconies, all our rooms come equipped with AC, and each house has a private pool and a living room to relax in..

We have Double rooms for one or two persons and Twin rooms that our for shared occupancy. The Twin rooms can also be booked for two friends coming together on retreat.

If you book one of our Double rooms for two persons, there is a 10% discount on the combined 2 x single person’s retreat price.

We serve brunch at 10.30am and dinner at 6.30pm every day in the dining area.

Each house has a selection of herbal teas, fresh coffee and healthy snacks. Water is available from our filter which you can access 24/7 from the kitchen.

All our meals are gluten free and vegetarian. If you have allergies that require medical attention we will alter the meals to suit your needs.
