Yoga
Anshin Rose has developed her own unique style of yoga over the past 30 years. Its focus is on mindfulness and the breath, ensuring you find your own alignment without the judgement of how you think a pose should look. It is not based on flexibility or strength, but is gentle on the mind, body and soul. We call it Zen Qiyoga, with mindfulness and breath added to Hatha.

Anshin
Instructor
With a rich tapestry of experiences, spanning more than ten years of Zen Buddhist practice and over three decades of devoted engagement with the art of yoga, Rosalie has emerged as a guiding light for those seeking solace and spiritual nourishment. With a profound dedication to the art of yoga, her journey commenced in the mid-1980s, guided by an innate passion for self-exploration. Delving deep into the ancient realms of mindfulness and inner awakening, Rosalie’s profound understanding of these holistic disciplines flourished and transitioned from a dedicated practitioner to a revered guide.
Yoga
Anshin Rose has over 35 years of dedicated yoga practice and serves as a Yoga Teacher Trainer. For her, yoga isn't just about physical postures; it's a profound journey towards discovering our authentic selves and attaining genuine contentment in life. While she acknowledges the importance of maintaining physical health through asanas as we age, she emphasizes that true yoga transcends mere flexibility or strength—it's about cultivating a mindful presence during practice. Breath work and meditation stand as essential pillars in all her classes, guiding practitioners towards inner peace and holistic well-being.
Meditation
In the 1980's, Anshin Rose was fortunate to cross paths with a yogini who had lived in India and Japan for over 20 years and gained the wisdom of meditation directly from this encounter. When you meet Anshin, you will recognise the calmness and serenity that dwells within.
At our retreats, Anshin Rose teaches how to layer your approach into any meditation practice. She will teach you the value of each layer, so that you gain an understanding that whatever level you feel you are at, you are benefiting from that.
Fushin
Instructor
Fushin has immersed himself in the study of Buddhism for over three decades. His journey led him to establish the Whitsunday Meditation Society, which he diligently led for a decade. Around ten years ago, he attained ordination as a Zen Priest, marking a significant milestone in his spiritual path. In 2023, he was honoured to be taken into the Hzu Yun Lineage, a direct link back to the Buddha himself.
One of Fushin's notable contributions is his role in offering Dokusan, personal one-on-one sessions with participants at our retreats. During these sessions, individuals have the opportunity to privately discuss any matter with him. Drawing from Buddhist teachings, he skillfully provides remedies as needed, offering solace and guidance.
Interestingly, in the 1980s, Fushin received training in aerobics under the Lorry Potter Foundation in Perth. He utilizes this background to enrich his teachings, incorporating his own Tai Chi practice into select retreats.
Fushin's life philosophy revolves around benefiting all sentient beings. His compassion is deeply rooted, having personally faced struggles such as cancer. Through his own experiences, he understands the complexities of the human mind and endeavors to offer support and wisdom to those in need.
Meditation
Zen Buddhism centers around Zazen, the practice of meditation. In contemporary society, this practice is often recognized as mindfulness. With over a decade of experience, he has been dedicated to teaching meditation. Every week, he generously hosts a complimentary Zoom session focused on Zazen accompanied by enlightening Dharma talks.
Spirituality
Step into the world of Zen Buddhism with Fushin, a seasoned Zen Buddhist Priest whose wisdom spans over six transformative years of teaching. Delving deep into the essence of awakening, Fushin's passion lies in guiding individuals towards the profound discovery of their life's true purpose.
